The Secret of the Lost Island
Diego and Guille had been best friends since they were little kids. They loved nothing more than going on adventures together, and their favorite pastime was exploring the outdoors. One day, they stumbled upon an old book that contained stories of hidden treasures and lost civilizations. The book captured their imaginations, and they decided that they wanted to become treasure hunters.
After a long and tiring journey, they finally reached the island. The island was covered in dense jungle and was sweltering hot. The boys were exhausted, but they knew that they had to press on if they wanted to find the treasure. They started exploring the island, and soon stumbled upon an old temple. The temple was covered in vines and looked like it hadn't been touched in centuries.
Excitedly, they made their way inside the temple. They found themselves in a large room with a raised platform at one end. As they approached the platform, they noticed that there was an old statue sitting on top of it. The statue was made of solid gold, and its eyes seemed to follow them as they moved around the room.
Suddenly, they heard a loud rumbling sound. The ground beneath them started to shake, and they knew that they had to get out of there fast. They made their way back outside and were shocked to see that the island was starting to sink into the ocean.
They quickly realized that the island was sinking because of the weight of the gold statue that they had disturbed. They knew that they had to act fast if they wanted to survive. They grabbed the statue and started running as fast as they could towards their boat.
They managed to make it back to their boat just in time as the island sank beneath the waves. Once they were safely back on their boat, they realized that they had a new problem. They couldn't take the gold statue with them as it was too heavy and would surely sink their boat.
After much discussion, they decided that the right thing to do was to leave the statue behind and make a note of its location. They knew that they had discovered something truly remarkable and wanted to come back and explore the area more thoroughly.
With heavy hearts, they left the island behind, but they knew that their adventure was far from over. They had caught the treasure hunting bug, and they were determined to discover more hidden treasures and lost civilizations in their future expeditions.
